Interview with Karen Shrum

Karen is the founder of 2 illuminate LLC, a coaching firm whose mission is to create results, with mindfulness and compassion. She has over 20 years’ experience coaching and advising C-suite leaders and professionals at all levels. She brings a unique perspective gained only from being an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Big Four partner, and senior government executive.
She is passionate about helping professionals transition into careers that they love and coaching leaders to be the best versions of themselves. As part of the 2 Illuminate portfolio, Karen serves as a Senior Advisor and Executive Coach for Lee Hecht Harrison (LHH) International Center for Executive Operations (ICEO). Earlier, she served as a Senior Executive at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and a Partner in Ernst & Young’s (EY) Government and Public Sector practice.
Karen is an avid yoga practitioner, former marathoner, and now, as an adopted owner of a very active Border Collie, can be found exploring the many hiking trails that the area offers.
